Gatherings terms of service

01.Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use Gatherings. There are no exceptions. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18. Accounts found to belong to anyone younger are removed.

02.Your account

• One account per person, registered with your own email.
• Use a display name and profile that represent you. No impersonation of other people, stores, or organizations.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in access to yourself.
• We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, as described in sections 06 and 07.

03.Community guidelines

Gatherings exists so strangers can become regulars at the same table. That only works if everyone follows a few rules:

• Meet in public venues first. Game stores, cafes, diners. Keep first meetups with new players at public places.
• No buying, selling, or trading through the app. Gatherings does not support deals and does not process payments. Anything you arrange privately is at your own risk.
• No harassment. No abuse, hate, threats, unwanted contact, or contact after a block. One declined message request means stop.
• Hosts set the table. The host decides the format, power level, and seat count. Hosts may remove attendees from their gatherings.
• Report what feels off. Profiles, messages, gatherings, and venues can all be reported. We review every report.

04.In-person meetups and release of liability

Gatherings is a discovery and coordination tool. It does not organize, supervise, or vouch for any meetup, venue, or person. Read this section carefully:

• You meet other users in person at your own risk. We do not run background checks and cannot verify who anyone is beyond their account details.
• Venues shown in the app are independent businesses and public places with no affiliation to Contriboot. Their hours, policies, and conditions are their own.
• Venue information, including hours, play space details, and tags, is community-reported and provided as-is. It can be wrong or out of date. Confirm anything that matters before you travel.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Contriboot from claims arising out of your interactions with other users, your attendance at any gathering, and your visits to any venue, including claims related to personal injury, property loss, or disputes between users.

05.Your content

You own what you post: your profile, messages, photos, venue submissions, and edits. By posting, you give us the non-exclusive license needed to store, display, and transmit that content so the app can function. You agree not to post:

• Content that is illegal, hateful, or sexually explicit
• Other people's personal information
• Spam, scams, or deliberately false venue information
• Content you do not have the right to share

06.Moderation

We may remove content, hide content pending review after multiple reports, warn users, suspend accounts, or ban accounts, at our discretion, to keep the community safe. Blocking is mutual and immediate: blocked users cannot see or contact each other through the app. Reports are confidential and never notify the person reported. We are not obligated to moderate everything and cannot guarantee we will catch every violation, but we act on what we find and what you report.

07.Termination

You can stop using Gatherings and delete your account at any time from inside the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, harm other users, or misuse the service. We may also discontinue the service itself; if we do, we will give reasonable notice where practical.

08.Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Gatherings is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information in it is accurate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Contriboot is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

09.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida.

10.Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify you in the app before the changes take effect. Continuing to use Gatherings after that means you accept the updated terms.
